Siamese ~ Thai ~ Wichien-Maat

NEWS UPDATE ---- Eärwen has been adopted to a lovely family in Houston Texas.  She will leaving for her new home in February!!!!!  Suzanne, diligently emailed me to convince me she was MEANT to in her family.  I am very excited that Eärwen is going to a home where is very wanted.  I will miss her dearly, but would not give up this fabulous opportunity for her to be the center of a families universe.

Eärwen

Eärwen Muse, gossiper, elegant describes this sweet charming girl. Eärwen is my "Audrey Hepburn" look among cats. Her gorgeous features capture the hearts of all who see and know her. She is fun and witty as she dances and darts around the room looking for someone to devote her attention towards. She showers anyone she meets with purring and cuddling, and is best known by the other cats as the "lover" of the group.

Eärwen is a sophisticated cat who loves to purr.!!!!

Siamese Heritage:

Earwen is a sexy seal point with endearing and captivating blue eyes. Her last litter produced the nicest looking kittens I have ever bred. She comes from my friend and fellow breeder Eline Geertsema-Polak of [Elvëa Mëoi Cattery] in Holland, where you can see Eärwen as a baby on her own website as the [E-litter].

Eärwen came from a show -style father with a rather fun and interesting Siamese bloodline that was neither popular or well seen in pedigrees. Now for the mothers side, I was actually a huge fan of Eärwen's grandmother, and just fell in love with her looks, but it was her grandmothers bloodline to Israel that was most interesting. Israel does not have a Major Cat Registry so when the 4th generation grandparents were imported they were listed as "unregistered." The Dutch cat registry then had "Thai" cats, and so the cat were registered as Thai since their looks most resembled the old-style Siamese. Three generations later with pure breeding, Eärwen proved to be authentic Siamese and was registered in Germany as Siamese. Later, when Eärwen was transferred to [TICA] as Thai to help represent the Old-Style Siamese in her future offspring.

Eärwen is named from a famous book series that only devoted fans will recognize. I had plans to change her name when I got her, but my breeder friend convinced me that her name meaning Sea Maiden was a perfect fit since she came across the Atlantic.

Future:

All breeders have/or should have specific goals. My goal for Eärwen, is to preserve her gorgeous looks, and interesting pedigree by producing my first Thai kittens in my breeding program. There is almost nothing about her I would change except perhaps improve her size. I think Beringer will compliment her nicely in that department.

Features I enjoy are too long to list, but I think my favorite feature are her great ears.
