Adoption Process Owning a Siamese is easy. I've said it many times on this
website but it cannot be stressed enough, but I breed for a hobby, and this in
no way is a business for me. If your looking for kitten mill, I can tell you
now, I am the wrong type of breeder for you. I created this page, so that
potential kitten owners understand my process. I take this process of finding
great homes very important. Each week, depending on the season, I can get
between 25 and 50 e-mails asking for kittens. My initial focus are on those
e-mails which demonstrate a sincere desire to own an old-style, have read the
website, and understand my philosophy towards quality breeding. The adoption
process begins with first reading the website, followed by e-mailing me and
answering the questions on the contact page. Following e-mail, I send a series
of additional interviewing e-mails that helps myself and the potential new
kitten owner to get to know one another. If the potential kitten owner is
serious about moving forward in the process, I send a detailed questionnaire
that helps identify specific personality traits for their future kitten. It is
during that time when the questions are returned, that one of two things happen:
either a request for contract is initiated, or additional information has
surfaced which requires further discussions and possible education. when the
questions are completed, and the family is ready to commit, than a contract is
sent. The family then has 10 days to return a contract with deposit. Once the
kittens are born, pictures are added weekly to the nursery for everyone to
view. The kittens personalities are then evaluated and discussed with potential
owners. 30 days from the time you receive your kitten, all money is due. A
selection is made approximately between 8 and 10 weeks, sometimes earlier on
which kitten goes to which family. At the end of the 12th and final week, your
Siamese kitten is ready to be picked up.
