Beringer - Retired

He is a Siamese, Wichien-Maat and real Thai. Beringer
is "Mommy's Boy," and resident cat snuggler to any cat who needs a warm shoulder
to lay on. He is a gentle and loving soul, who stole my heart the very
first day I saw him. Beringer is a 2nd generation American Old-Style
Siamese, whose roots are combined from extremely rare American and Thailand
lines from more then 20 generations.
Beringer embodies calmness and strength as our primary
stud, who brings joy with his stunning eyes, and a welcoming character to strangers, dogs and cats.
Siamese Heritage:
Beringer is from the Aux Chaton Cattery, who worked with Dr. Cristy Bird of [Sarsenston Cattery]. In 2000, Cristy and her husband went to Thailand to bring two Wichien-Maats back. At the time, none of the Major Registries recognized the Wichien-Maat bloodlines. However, during the early 20th Century it is well established that our current Western Siamese were imported from Siam (now known as Thailand) using Wichien-Maat cats. This historical fact, allowed Cristy the opportunity to have three Judges from The International Cat Association (TICA) evaluate the imported Wichien-Maats, and categorize them as Siamese. This was an extremely unique opportunity to justify the Old-Style Siamese look as they were first imported.
rightfully
categorize them as Thai. The name Thai, represents their land of origin.
This monumental decision in TICA allowed for not only the old look to be shown,
but more importantly ensureed a process in which the heritage of the Thai
cats would be preserved as *either* Siamese or Wichien-Maat.
In addition to Beringer's Thailand heritage, he also has
extremely rare American Siamese bloodlines that can not be found in any other
Western Siamese starting from the 1950's.. Half of Beringer's line is still
being maintained at Sarsenstone Cattery, while Eline Polak of
[Elvëa Mëoi Cattery] and is
raising Beringer's daugther [Chablis].
Future:
All breeders have/or should have specific goals. My goal for Beringer is to preserve his American line, from extinction, and help maintain his Thailand bloodline. I hope with time I am able to improve his looks through his offspring:
